Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Regulatory Specialist for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will provide professional expertise on environmental regulatory requirements, particularly as it relates to air permitting. In addition, you will:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory processes. Provides direction to assure compliance and consistent implementation across the enterprise.
- Manage environmental permitting projects, responsible for both strategy development and tactical execution.
- Maintain close liaison with regulatory agencies and industry groups.
- Monitor regulatory trends and provides updates to internal stakeholders.

What Skills You Need
- 8 or more years of expert level air permitting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of Title V Permitting, NESHAP/NSPS compliance, PSD Permitting, and air quality modeling.
- 5 or more years of experience with other major environmental regulatory programs (water, waste, spill response, chemical reporting).
- 3 or more years of experience developing strategic plans and project management.
- Experience conducting environmental audits to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Skills in interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Experience with the development and implementation of data management and analytical tools to support compliance.
- Experience with environmental management systems and standards.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering effective training
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25%

Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental/civil engineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent experience in a related career field.
