Senior PSM Specialist

Global Food company has an immediate need for a PSM professional for 2 smaller production facilities in the Greater Marshall, MN area. 

This role will provide both sites with PSM/RMP subject matter expertise in support of a best in class program.  The scope of this role will include implementation, updating and maintaining the PSM program and guidelines (14 elements of PSM) working closely with EHS, maintenance and engineering as well as the refrigeration team.

  • Support PSM/RMP implementation, auditing, facilitating and managing PHA's, MOC's. PSSR's, etc.
  • Act as the subject matter expert to 2 nearby plants for their leadership teams, engineering and hourly employees as well as working closely with the corporate PSM Manager
  • Support plant initiatives and capital projects by providing PSM/RMP expertise and insight from planning to completion.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Safety / Environmental / Safety Science / Engineering or related area
  • 3+ years of experience supporting PSM/RMP in a production facility.  Ammonia refrigeration, food industry or other PSM regulated industry experience required
  • Knowledgeable in all 14 elements of PSM including; Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change, Pre-Start-up Safety Review
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Self-directed, able to work independently and operate at the technical expert level, engaging, influencing and educating employees with regards to PSM and RMP
