Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Professional

Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is seeking a Senior Senior EHS Professional (R&D/Production) with ASP/CSP/CIH certification or equivalent experience to support Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Services in Austin, Texas.

As a Senior Professional, you will work with a local high-tech client’s existing team of environmental, health and safety professionals.  You will be located at the client facility (Top 5 Global Technology Firm), and work under the management of the existing client EHS facility manager. Experience with conducting pre-construction EHS design reviews in R&D, manufacturing and production settings is required.  Must have knowledge of OSHA regulations, writing and implementing OSHA programs, performing accident investigation and root cause analysis, environmental and IH-related sampling, and performing safety and health surveys/audits. Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be detail oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. In addition, strong organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills are a must.

Base Location:
This is a full-time role is based in Austin, TX. Antea®Group focuses strongly upon safety in all aspects of our operations, in the field, the office, and while traveling. The successful candidate must likewise consider safety as paramount and demonstrate an awareness of safe operations.

Essential Functions:

  • EHS risk mitigation based on preconstruction design review
  • Developing, writing, and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs and procedures for the high tech and manufacturing industry.  Areas of focus may include machine guarding, laser safety, and fall protection, among others.
  • Prepare and review written programs, JHAs, PPE assessments, and other health and safety program elements.
  • Accident investigation and tracking, to include root cause analysis.
  • Developing and presenting Health & Safety training modules, including potential development of e-learning modules.  Working with vendors and team members to ensure successful deployment of training programs.
  • Ensuring employee compliance with training requirements.
  • Optimize waste segregation practices and organize waste removal efforts.
  • Periodic facility-level EHS inspections.
  • Participating in technical societies and organizations such as but not limited to: AIHA, NSC, and ASSE.
  • Supporting corporate and facility-level EHS initiatives and serve as an internal technical resource to the organization.
  • Industrial hygiene sampling (air sampling and noise monitoring) and experience establishing industrial hygiene audit protocol is a plus.
  • Desire laser & machine guarding experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 to 15 years of experience working in occupational health & safety.
  • ASP, CSP, or CIH certification or equivalent experience, preferred
  • Must have a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and their applicability. Further understanding of NFPA, DOT (Hazmat), ANSI, and EPA health & safety regulations is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in or consulting to manufacturing firms and/or technology firms
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an attention to details.
  • Able to work independently at times, and lead/train junior staff. 
  • Potential employees must pass a company-paid physical examination, drug-screen and have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Desire experience in the areas of laser safety and machine guarding.
