Senior EHS Manager [AS-11069]

A leading life sciences company is searching for a Senior Safety Manager to be based out of their Cleveland area corporate headquarters. The Senior Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and managing one of their division's safety programs for all national locations. This highly collaborative position is a great opportunity for a high energy, creative, and results oriented safety professional.

 The Role

  • Driving safety excellence and positive culture change across a very field-based workforce; coaching and mentoring employees of all level when it comes to working safely
  • Developing and improving safety programs, initiatives and improvement projects at regional level; implementing the business safety strategy and goals effectively
  • Closely monitor leading and lagging safety performance metrics to identify trends, areas for further improvement, and progress against safety goals. Provide recommendations to company leadership on corrective actions
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of safety awareness at work-site locations out in the field; conducting specific safety training based on needs
  • Directs incident and near-miss investigations, including the identification of root cause and subsequent corrective action plans. Develop communication of lessons-learned to share on a business-wide scale

The Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Science or Engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of EHS experience in relevant industries such as pharma/biotech/healthcare/medical devices/life sciences
  • CIH certification would be hugely desirable; as would experience in areas such as PSM, Radiation Safety, chemical safety, fleet safety, and mobile worker safety.
  • Prepared to travel up to 60% of the time, in a nationwide role
