Safety Manager [JK-11249]

We're currently working on a new Safety Manager role in Dallas, TX - a great opportunity to work for a $2bn construction contractor, who are growing and offer great progression opportunities.

Based out of Dallas, this role covers the South and Midwest regions and requires candidates to deliver site audits, inspections, delivery of training across a portfolio of construction projects. Candidates require a safety (or related) degree, and 2+ years of experience in construction safety, as well as a proactive approach and great communication skills.

The Role:

  • Promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of the organization, with heavy focus on employee engagement towards the safety program
  • Work closely with both the Safety Director and superintendents on site in delivering a positive culture toward safety.
  • Undertake job-site inspections, hazard observations, near miss investigations and audits across all operational projects as deemed necessary
  • Identify, develop and deliver safety training in areas such as: safety regulation, hazardous conditions, use of tools and equipment etc. 
  • Ensure company continually remains compliant and informed of industry regulatory changes when it comes to bodies such as OSHA

 

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a construction environment (circa. 2-4 years)
  • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering or other related discipline (preferred)
  • Proven communicator, who can engage with key internal & external stakeholders across all levels, from project teams to senior leadership
  • Based from the Dallas, TX office to all regional projects (circa 60%)
