Safety Coordinator

We have a brand new opportunity for a Safety Coordinator to work for a $1bn revenue Electrical Construction Contractor on a flagship project in Philadelphia.

You will be responsible for helping drive forward the EHS program at a project-level, fostering a strong culture across the business, ensuring safety remains the number one priority for all employees. The Role:

  • Drive forward safety performance across all operational sites, ensuring continuous improvement and feeding back to the EHS Manager regarding key safety metrics
  • Take an active role in the development and improvement of the safety training program (build matrix, coordinate/facilitate training, update records, etc.)
  • Conduct site safety inspections, hazard assessments, accident reports and audits as necessary
  • Arrange weekly safety meetings with project teams to ensure best practice and commitment to company safety goals
  • Ensure company compliance in relation to industry regulator standards (OSHA) 


The Candidate:

  • Degree in either Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering or other related discipline (preferred)
  • At a minimum you will need to have 2 years hands on experience managing safety in a Construction environment
  • A strong communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Motivated individual who has the ability to effectively multi-task and accomplish corporate safety goals
