Safety Consulting Operations Manager

Salcon, Inc. is an Industrial Safety and Loss Control consulting firm offering a comprehensive range of occupational health and safety services to clients in a wide variety of industries such as Paper, Aluminum, Titanium, Rubber/Carbon Black, Steel, Aerospace, Electronics and many more in the U.S. and internationally.

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day to day operations within our organization. Reporting to the President of the company, a successful candidate will: 

  • Supervise internal staff as well as a network of subcontracting safety professionals
  • Ensure professional development and recertification of in house safety staff
  • Schedule and maintain project calendars
  • Perform quality control reviews of completed project work prior to issue
  • Foster relationships with current clientele as well as broaden client base by generating and following potential client leads
  • Provide technical guidance to safety auditors and trainers when necessary
  • Participate in the selection and training of additional safety personnel
     

Location:
This position is home-based with preference in the Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL or Orlando, FL areas 

Requirements include:

  • Minimum experience of 10 years in industrial safety and health including management experience
  • Hold a professional designation of CSP, CIH or equivalent
  • Thorough working knowledge of OSHA 1910 regulations (including state-run regulatory variances)
  • Able to work independently and possess excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to travel 50% of time, including international travel
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word Excel)
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish, French and/or Portuguese a plus
  • Knowledge of international regulatory requirements a plus
