Safety Consultant - Orlando area

Now licensed in 10 states, we write business in AL, FL, GA, IN, KY, MS, NC, SC, TN, and VA.  We are looking for best candidates interested in working from their home-based office near Orlando or Kissimmee, FL.   We offer competitive compensation and superior benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Service territory is Central and East-Central Florida.
  • Conduct assessments, inspections and handle the underwriting/safety surveys of accounts.
  • Identify exposures and provide written recommendations to control hazards.
  • Consult with accounts on evaluating loss trends and when necessary implement positive preventive measures.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with the clients, underwriting and other service teams.
  • Ensure compliance and conduct OSHA and other training as needed.
  • Participate in webcast presentation(s) and support other training or team events as requested.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of related laws and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, customers, employees, agents and government officials as needed.
  • Able to use electronic and computerized technology as required.
  • Able to analyze, interpret and help develop graphs, charts, programs and trends.
  • Bachelors or Associates degree with at least 1-4 years of experience in safety management, regulatory auditing/compliance or insurance commercial risk assessment is preferred.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) in addition to 4-5 years of experience in safety management, regulatory auditing/compliance or insurance commercial risk assessment is required.
  • All applicants must hold a valid/active state-issued driver’s license, have a good driving record and be willing to conduct overnight travel as needed.
