Project Safety Manager

We are seeking a qualified Project Safety Manager for one of our clients located in Indianapolis, IN. 

The Project Safety Manager will be responsible for leading a team of 20-25 while also managing several projects. This person will need to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in  complex situations. The Project Safety Manager must have expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of contractors and safety professionals
  • Work to implement organizational and project safety programs
  • Conduct site safety observations, identify areas for improvement, and develop comprehensive reports
  • Work with other safety professionals, project management and foremen to establish the best safety culture and practices for the project
  • Participate in tactical planning and support of corporate safety initiatives.
  • Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

Requirements

  • Extensive Building Construction Experience including hospitals, schools, retail, restaurants, apartments, etc.
  • Experience leading teams of 20-25
  • Comfortable managing large projects
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex safety topics to employees, clients, top management.
  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
  • CHST Certification preferred but not required
