KEY OBJECTIVE:
Provide superior health and safety services, adhering to ESIS Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standard operating protocols and client specific scope of service.  This opportunity consists of onsite support at a client site in San Francisco, California, five days a week, M-F. The individual we are seeking should have 1-3 years of experience as a health and safety cooridnator or specialist. 

This position will support our clients' Global Head of Health & Safety (H&S) with the delivery of health and safety (H&S) programs, including maintaining and coordinating a range of health and safety initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting emergency preparedness, travel and event safety, workplace injury and illness prevention, hazard identification and risk assessment, and safety management system support. The applicant will closely partner with remote, cross-functional team members to support H&S programs and initiatives at existing office locations along with design and construction projects for new and existing offices. This role will also help support H&S audits, compliance verification and global training programs. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the delivery of H&S initiatives across client locations
  • Provide program coordination and support across various projects 
  • Work cross-functionally with internal Technology and Enterprise Services partners 
  • Support H&S audits and compliance verification initiatives 
  • Support the development of training and new initiatives
     

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, safety, science or a closely related discipline is preferred; will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience 
  • 1-3 years of experience in H&S program operations 
  • Experience with program coordination and monitoring / reporting program success through metrics 
  • Advanced skills in MS Office 2010, including Excel, Access, Word, Power Point and Outlook 
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy with strong time management skills 
  • Strong, clear verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience working effectively in a matrix organization is desired
