Fleet Safety Supervisor 1019C

We are recruiting for a Fleet Safety Supervisor in Addison, IL (Chicagoland) Job 1019. Response Instruction listed below. 

Job Purpose:
Working in conjunction with site leadership and drivers, the incumbent will provide driver safety training, evaluation and reporting with the goal of engaging all employees to embrace safety as a cultural foundation as well as compliance with all relevant federal and state DoT and OSHA regulations

Minimum Requirements: 

  • All potential candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, employer sponsorship is not available.
  • Two (2) or more years of driver / fleet safety experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Smith System
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DOT regulations for all OTR vehicles
  • Demonstrated success delivering training and remediation programs
  • Willing and able to travel up to 70%.

Additional Preferred Competencies: 

  • Professional Certification (CSP, CEP, CHMM, etc.) from a nationally recognized organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related discipline Major Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the Safety Training of new drivers as well as ongoing training programs for existing drivers.
  • Lead Smith System training of all driver
  • Lead Driver Camera training
  • Lead DOT regulatory training including vehicle inspection and service training • Conduct surprise driver evaluations
  • Identify and recommend remediation programs for at-risk
  • Assist accident and incident investigation and reporting
