Environmental Technician (Stack Tester)

AASI is a growing company with a continuous need for experienced and talented individuals. Headquartered in Starke, Florida, centrally located between Gainesville and Jacksonville, AASI offers team members the opportunity to grow their careers while expanding their knowledge of the environmental testing industry.


  • Planning and supervising on-site projects following standard operating procedures, and performing method and project specific quality control procedures.
  • Review proposals, test plans, work requirements, and equipment needs.
  • Assemble, operate, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment.
  • Retrieve, analyze, and report testing data.
  • Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Quality Assurance reviews.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other AASI personnel and clients in all aspects of company business.


  • 5 years working experience with instrumentation, field measurements, and EPA Methodology.
  • Proficient math skills and a basic understanding of chemistry principles.
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and ability to obtain a DOT medical certification.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Willing to travel including overnight stays (approx. 50%).
  • Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Capable of climbing stacks up to ~200 ft. (ladders and stairs).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer software including MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Mechanically inclined; capable of working on instrumentation and other testing equipment.
