Environmental Technician

Founded in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a privately owned company and one of North America's leading producers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard and thermally fused laminates. Roseburg also manufactures softwood and hardwood plywood, lumber, LVL and I-joists.

The company owns and sustainably manages more than 600,000 acres of timberland in Oregon, North Carolina and Virginia, as well as an export wood chip terminal facility in Coos Bay, Ore. Roseburg products are shipped throughout North America and the Pacific Rim. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring environmental compliance status of all facilities
  • Compiling and/or reviewing reports and documents to submit to government agencies
  • Providing assistance to Environmental Department and facility environmental personnel on routine monitoring activities
  • Developing and reviewing facility plans to meet existing and upcoming regulatory requirements
  • Assisting Environmental Department with project evaluation and permitting
  • Assisting with administrative functions for Environmental Department


Required Qualifications

  • PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Work under pressure with ever-changing priorities and deadlines
  • Able to work independently
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to work with all levels of company personnel
  • Must hold valid driver license
  • Able to work in various environments (indoor, outdoor, inclement weather, heights)
  • Able to travel periodically


Preferred Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. in Environmental, Engineering, Math or Science
