Responsible for compliance with environmental regulations at the INVISTA Orange Plant Nylon Intermediates manufacturing facility.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Lead the Orange site environmental team
  • Integrate environmental compliance in site work processes and management systems to improve efficiency and overall environmental performance. Provide clear, timely and concise guidance to operating areas and other site teams
  • Maintain compliance with the INVISTA Compliance Standards, including risk assessment, risk management, internal audits and self-assessments on environmental programs
  • Manage regulatory agency interactions during site inspections and other communication
  • Work with site training department to assure all compliance required training is completed
  • Work with subject matter experts to review and interpret environmental laws, regulations, and legislation applicable to site operations. Track emerging regulations, understand their impact, and assist site with implementing new regulations. Take initiative to identify potential compliance issues and drive improvement in current practices and programs to create long-term value
  • Oversee and ensure timely preparation of reports to TCEQ, EPA, and internal stakeholders
  • Waste Minimization/Reduction - track, report, and review progress towards waste minimization goals
  • Participate, as needed, in incident investigations to identify root causes and ensure that corrective actions are developed and implemented to prevent recurrence
