Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor - Day Shift

The EHS Supervisor - Day Shift Responsible for applying general understanding of Environment, Health and Safety practices and standards across the Springdale 1st or 2nd shift operation. Provides location leadership and direction in the following areas of focus: development and implementation of EHS strategy, maintenance and continuous improvement of EHS results, shaping of the internal EHS culture, management of the external EHS brand and leadership of talent management practices.
Principal Accountabilities:
40% Facilitates the EHS process for the Cargill Springdale, AR facility as defined by the EHS Manager and manages the 3 trainers for that shift.
30% Initiates and implements EHS management programs and processes for the plant to include supervisor training, employee EHS awareness, problem solving, Conduct routine inspections/audits-identify hazards and facilitate corrective action in a timely manner , etc. Data analysis to identify injury trends and create aggressive risk reduction plans to eliminate injuries and property.
30% Responsible for regulatory compliance programs including EPA, OSHA and DOT safety regulations as applicable. This includes program development, training activities, record keeping, accident investigation when necessary, and Data analysis to identify injury trends and create aggressive risk reduction plans to eliminate injuries and property. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 3 + years’ experience in Safety Management or related field
• 1 + year direct Supervisory/Management experience
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA laws and regulations
• Must possess the ability to build peer, subordinate, and other level relationships within the organization

• Availability to work from 8 am to 5 pm

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management or related field
• 2 + years Supervisory/Management experience in an EHS capacity
• First Aid Training
• Proficient with computer and programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of HAZMAT
• Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA laws and regulations
• Bilingual English / Spanish
