Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist


Perform and manage EHS assignments and routine tasks under the general direction of the EHS Manager and in accordance with EHS regulations and company policies. Manage procurement and inventory of hazardous materials and waste including storage, labeling, usage logs, and shipping records. Review and oversee Air and Water Quality compliance for air emission sources, waste water operations, and storm water program.

Routinely review work areas, equipment, and processes for EHS compliance. Manage contractor safety program, operating logs, compliance records, Safety Data Sheets, and databases. Participate in emergency response and maintain emergency response supplies. Investigate safety concerns and incidents, and manage corrective and preventative actions. Provide employee training and perform other duties as assigned.

This position is highly integrated with the Facilities department. It supports and requires an active role in all Facilities projects relevant to EH&S. This includes, but is not limited to, the planning and implementation phases through to project close out. Dealing directly with Facilities employees and vendors.


  • Five or more years of EHS experience working in a manufacturing or electronics assembly environment.
  • Three to five years of construction and or Facilities related activities.
  • Project management support level involvement a plus.



  • High school diploma. College degree in a Science major is preferred.



Current certification or able to complete the following within six months of date of hire.

  • Eight hours Hazardous Waste Generator training in accordance with CCR Title 22.
  • Four hours Hazardous Materials Transportation in accordance with Department of Transportation requirements.

 Current certification or able to complete the following within one year of date of hire:

  • Forty hours Hazardous Waste Operation (HazWoper) training.
