Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

Long Beach Metro 

Global Corporation with revenues in the $4B range is looking for an EH&S Spacialist to oversee the regulatory issues in a 300+ employee 24/7 dairy processing facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager this will be an individual contributor role who will be responsible for the definition of the corporate EH&S programs and to effectively implement those programs into the site culture. 

Environmntal, Health and Safety Specialist

First years base salary up to $90k with bonus and exceptional benefits

  • Undergraduate degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Industrial Risk preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a food processing/diary manufacturing facility preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret OSHA standards.
  • Coordinate and implement environmental programs with corporate Environmental Affairs
  • Overall reaponsibility for the reporting and monitoring of hazardous waste, wastewater, storm water and air quality.
  • Responsible for the training and motivation of the team to champion Health and Safety success.
  • Exceptional organizationsl, interpersonal, communication, prioritization, time management and analytical skills.
  • Interface with regulatory officials in regerds to enviornmental and permitting issues.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

ALSO -another client company is looking for a Director, EH&S, food & beverage production/packaging, based in either Anaheim or Sacramento, Calif., +/-$125k/yr.+bonus.
