Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Process Safety Management Lead

Responsible for the successful implementation and execution of the Process Safety Management program in Covington. Ensures all of OSHA’s PSM program elements are in place and successfully integrated into all of our business processes at the Site. Responsible for maintaining all documentation related to PSM and presenting the program to internal and external auditors. Also responsible for the Site management inspection program and operational readiness committees.

Responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the PSM program ensuring compliance with all legal and Company requirements. This position is responsible to determine PSM applicability at our site and to ensure all PSM elements are in place. Periodically conducts HAZOPs and risk assessments. Ensures all findings and recommendations are addressed. Assesses all PSM related changes.  Conducts program self-assessments, participate in corporate audits, and assists in investigation of incidents.  Manages PSM related changes to the process. Manages all documentation related to the PSM program. Maintains the Site PSM Sharepoint Site.

Responsible for managing the Plant’s management inspection program. Ensures the program is identifying potential high hazard activities and risks. Ensures each building is conducting their management walk throughs monthly and provides training as needed. Creates and modifies the management inspection checklist as needed and helps customize it for each area.

Chairs the Site’s operational readiness and PSM committees. Ensures that all EHS metrics are linked to the department KPIs through each building committee. Works with OPEX to ensure business integration of EHS requirements into the daily, weekly, and monthly operational meetings.  

Additional Responsibilities/Qualifications:  

  • Provide technical assessments, conducts training, prepare regulatory reports, and coach and advise employees on all aspects of safety as needed.   
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is required. 
  • 4-7 years of overall experience directly working in EHS with at least 1-3 years in a PSM related role.
  • Training and job experience which demonstrates a strong understanding of OSHA’s Process Safety Management Regulations
