Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager & Safety Training

The Risk & Safety Training Manager is responsible for taking a proactive and enthusiastic approach in leading the safety & training responsibilities for the entire Company. 


  • Alongside Field Operations, develop, roll out and lead safety training of 300+ Field Operations employees.  Will be the subject matter expert in relation to safety for Bicycle Delivery personnel. 
  • Create and implement a “Train the Trainer” Program, so that our Training team is well versed on all newly developed safety prevention programs.
  • Provide continuous safety education, awareness, intervention and accountability.
  • Create proactive safety programs focused on the prevention of accidents through communication, training & recognition.
  • Audit and analyze all operational employee safety performance to provide detailed statistical data on how effective training programs have been.
  • Identify accident trends and create targeted intervention actions and communications to prevent future occurrences to reduce the number of preventable accidents and injuries.
  • Create and recommend corrective action processes for Safety Violations.
  • Conduct accident investigations and reviews. 
  • Will develop return to work policies and practices that work to reduce losses and reserves.
  • Will have a clear understanding of city, state and federal safety regulations as outlined by any regulatory agencies such as OSHA and DOT. 
  • Understand Delivery Personnel onboarding training to ensure compliance and efficacy.
  • Perform periodic inspections of company property and equipment to ensure that no procedural changes need to be made.
  • Help keep awareness of road conditions in bad or severe weather to participate in workflow decisions for safety concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Has strong working knowledge of applicable local, state and federal regulations that relate to Environment, Health and Safety.
  • Is passionate about safety and prevention
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and manage in a team environment
  • Proficient teaching, training, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve situations in a timely manner
  • At least three years of management experience in the safety training field
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
