We are currently seeking an EHS Manager to join the Cleveland Films Facility in Mentor, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading a world class safety culture in which team members are engaged in driving safety performance. Key responsibilities: As part of our team, you will serve as a resource to the Plant Manager in regards to EHS matters and act as a daily point of contact for all EHS issues. Assist line and staff management in understanding EHS regulations and standards, including instructions on handling EHS compliance, inspections, and citations.

  • Develop, implement and integrate Company EHS programs, standards, training, and facility specific procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory and Company policies. Lead EHS programs including, but not limited to Title V, SWPP, hearing conservation, LOTO, machine guarding, and Behavioral Based Safety Programs.
  • Investigate all releases, injuries and near-misses to root cause. Reviews plant incident statistics and makes recommendations for correction of problem areas. Drive continuous improvement to deliver strong results from behavioral based programs.
  • Perform risk assessments. Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practices and programs.
  • Evaluate new health and safety technologies and processes to develop strategies and tactics for reducing workplace and operational hazards and environmental impacts.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure conformance to appropriate safety and sanitary standards and regulations.
  • Integrate management systems with engineering/maintenance and program documentation and schedules to maintain regulatory compliance and safe operating conditions.
  • Maintain facility's compliance records, reports and permits.


  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Environmental Engineering/ Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of Industrial safety and occupational EHS within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, managerial, training, facilitation and mentoring skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures and programs. Experience in life safety codes: EHS rules, HAZOP, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and Industrial hygiene.
  • Strong Project/Problem Resolution skills.
  • Good verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Google Collaboration, Databases and function specific software.

Additional qualifications:

  • Advanced professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, REM etc.) desired.
  • Experience with OSHA VPP or similar structured safety management system encouraged.
