Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer

This position is responsible for maintaining site ISO/OHSAS/Clean Industry certifications & MESH Management System; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency tasks on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; managing interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse findings and enforcement actions; directing actions during crises; site security, creating a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes; Assists in the overall planning and installation of new equipment/new process & revision related to EHS requirements (Management of Change Process); Serves as liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies concerned with EHS control & compliance.


  • Professional degree in a relevant Engineering or environmental area is recommended.
  • 5 years of continuous experience in the areas of EHS, Prevention of lost, and Security.
  • Advanced English skills. (written and spoken)
  • Experience on implementation and managing ISO 14001
  • Advanced knowledge Microsoft office (word, excel, power point)
  • Strong communication, team work and leadership skills
  • Excellent Analytical abilities.
  • Excellent training and development abilities.
  • Strong Problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • EHS score/goals establish and accomplishment.
  • Outreach accomplishment (e.g., ISO 18000, “Industria Limpia-SEMARNAT”, “Autogestion-STPS”, etc.) 
  • EHS Deployment (Culture, Process, Compliance, and Results)
  • Incidents Investigation (accidents, near misses, spills, fires, vehicle incidents)
  • Closure rate of corrective actions
  • Identify and follow for implementation projects for Energy consumption reduction, Waste reduction, Water consumption reduction.
  • Greenhouse gas reduction
  • Employee engagement
