Environmental, Health & Safety Director [JK-11573]

Due to continued and sustained growth a leading a renewable energy company is looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety Director to join their team, based in the East Bay area. You would be responsible for leading the company safety program nationwide, developing a strategic vision and driving forward best practice across all operational projects. The Role:

  • Lead the EHS team and work with all levels of staff, from site-based personnel through executive leadership and senior client contacts in order to reinforce a “safety first” culture across the organization.
  • Collect, analyze and report on safety metrics and KPIs at both a project and company level, identifying trends and utilizing results to manage, modify and deliver safety priorities across the business
  • Keep up to date with any and all legislation change from industry regulators e.g. OSHA - ensuring compliance to all industry related standards
  • Implement, manage and monitor safety management systems
  • Oversee company-wide training programs and requirements. Ensuring awareness on all safety policies and continually updating them as part of continuous improvement efforts

 

The Candidate:

  • Proven EHS Leader, with the track record of building a company wide safety program and vision
  • 10 plus years experience within either, Construction, Solar, Engineering or a similar environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in occupational safety, Engineering or related discipline (required)
  • Certified Safety Professional (preferred)
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, across all business levels
  • Based from their East Bay Office and able to travel Nationwide (circa. 25%)
