Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer

AGCO is currently seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer to join our Environmental, Health, and Safety team in the Wichita, KS area.  The Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer will be responsible for providing tactical management and administration of safety programs and initiatives at the site by engaging management and hourly employees in the total Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program.

Note: Relocation assistance is available to the Wichita, KS area for this position.

 Responsibilities of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer:

  • Plan, develop, and lead continuous EHS improvements at the Hesston site
  • Oversee safety auditing and metric reporting to identify and implement safe practices in the manufacturing operation
  • Manage facility’s workers compensation claims and process documents
  • Develop and facilitate safety training, and manage tracking of safety training documentation.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
  • Serve as secondary emergency coordinator /incident commander in the event of a safety event at facility
  • Function as the Safety subject matter expert for OSHA Standards for General Industry and Industrial Hygiene Program

Required Qualifications of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer:

  • 5+ years of experience in an EHS related role in heavy manufacturing.
  • Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, or Engineering, preferably in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer:

  • Experience with worker’s compensation.
  • Certified Safety Professional status and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist status and/or OSHA certified instructor.
  • Previous Industrial Hygiene experience.
