Environmental Engineer

This is a mid-level positon no more than 7 years experience

Client is well established industry leader in the Environmental Engineering industry. As a small business, they value employees who take initiative and are flexible and independent enough to work on a variety of projects including construction management, due diligence, remediation design and other environmental services.

Looking for an ambitious team-oriented engineer that wants to get their hands dirty and contribute to a wide variety of environmental projects. This position includes conducting field investigations, compliance assessments, report writing, engineering design, field engineering and construction management (technical, schedule and budget).

Daily work assignments can include, field inspections, sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, asbestos, mold, etc.), managing environmental data, evaluating environmental data, reporting writing, engineering design and drafting. The level of independence will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated ability.

The successful candidate is flexible, confident and assertive.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, General Engineering or related engineering field
  • Fundamentals of Engineering exam passed
  • At least 2 years of relevant environmental engineering and consulting experience (no more than 7 years)
  • Effective and professional communication skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in AutoCad or AutoCad LT
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment with critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Collaborative
  • Robust mechanical abilities
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
  • Ability to gain restricted access at military installations requiring background checks
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to travel up to 65%
  • Must pass drug test, as required by federal contracts

 

Preferred Qualifications
