A national manufacturing organization is looking to appoint an EHS Facilities Manager to oversee all EHS functions at their production facility in the San Jose, CA area. As a member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will be tasked with establishing and implementing a world class EHS program, requiring the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels of the business.
- Influences Plant, Production, Operations, Maintenance and site management to drive the EHS performance and results.
- Supports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits, requests, and submissions for the site.
- Monitors changes to all EHS regulations pertaining to their area and reviews recommendations for incorporation into EHS management systems and standards in a timely manner.
- Direct team of EHS professionals
- Accountable for managing site EHS documentation to include program design, EHS data collection and posting, training documentation, and KPI reports.
- Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in EHS roles.
- EHS experience within manufacturing (or similar) environment.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Safety Engineering (or related)
- Leadership experience in a management role.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Professional certification strongly desireable (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
