Construction Safety Manager [JK-10780]

A leading retail construction company is seeking a Construction Safety Manager, to lead and develop their safety program across numerous high-end projects nationwide. This individual will be tasked with ensuring best practice across all active job-sites, working closely with key internal and external stakeholders alike to ensure a "Safety First Mindset" towards all construction activities. You will need to be an effective communicator, well-versed in managing a safety program across a large geographical remit. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company, who are industry leaders in their field.

The Role:

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and other project team members to identify safety risk on all active sites
  • Undertake inspections, investigations and audits - continually promoting a "Safety First Mindset" for all project teams
  • Work closely with the executive team reporting back on safety trend analysis and how to continually improve the safety program
  • Work alongside the HR dept in regard to any workers compensation cases
  • Ensure safety compliance to all local, state and federal bodies e.g. OSHA
  • Identify company safety training needs and implement programs as necessary to foster a strong safety culture

 

The Candidate:

  • Extensive experience managing safety in a construction environment, preferably either commercial or retail projects
  • Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or other related discipline (Preferred)
  • OSHA 500 - Trainer Course for Construction (Required) 
  • Based from Southern California HQ, with the ability to travel to active projects nationwide (Travel around 30%)
  • Strong communicator who can engage with various stakeholders
