FDRsafety is seeking several Site Safety Coordinators for upcoming Solar Projects throughout the US. These projects are anticipated to begin at the start of 2017 and last 6-12 months. Interested candidates must have a minimum 5 years experience in the Solar construction industry and a current OSHA 500 certification.
Extensive construction safety experience, preferably with some solar experience. Current OSHA 500 certification. Knowledge of OSHA Safety & Health Standards in mid-Atlantic states is desirable. Oral and written communication skills. Effective decision making skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application suite software programs. Ability to take direction from project leadership. Degree in safety or a related field with two (2) years of constructions safety experience or five (5) years of construction safety experience.
Position will be site located, and may require travel between multiple sites. Identifies potential safety, health, workers compensation and fire protection prevention risks and works with the site project team, including contractors’ safety teams, to create corrective measures. Monitors and evaluates the workplace to ensure compliance with all OSHA and company regulations. Ability to provide project safety updates to large departmental meetings and senior executives. Position requires significant time standing, walking and performing visual observations. Participate in lessons-learned and project closeout activities as required.
