HazTek Inc. is seeking a Field Services Manager in the Southeast region. The key functions of the Safety Professional are to support our clients’ specific project needs and ensure that best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and an improved safety culture and performance is delivered

The Field Services Manager will have a broad range of responsibilities and is expected to focus on Field Services full-time. He or she will have responsibilities and accountabilities across all HazTek divisions and within all aspects of our business. The Field Services Manager will ensure HazTek maintains the necessary face-to-face presence on client job sites while managing HazTek’s field staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Manage the quality and professionalism of all HazTek field staff

•Conduct employee reviews and determine MBO’s for field services personnel

•Visit field staff and meet with HazTek clients to ensure mutual satisfaction

•Visit all new job sites within the first week and in the last week of any project

•Ensure employee timesheets are properly prepared and submitted in a timely manner

•Act as a key member in the interview process of all field service candidates

•Write candidate profiles highlighting experience and credentials to submit to clients

•Recommend which employees to place with clients based on availability, experience, credentials, and location

•Forecast future Field Services workloads and determine appropriate resources to complete projects on time and within budget

•Assist Sales in identifying new business opportunities while visiting sites

•Train HazTek Sales Executives in the technical aspects of our services and how to best present these opportunities to customers

•Training Instructor and General Consulting responsibilities as needed

•Vacation coverage of Field Service projects as needed

•Maintain professional certifications and memberships in professional associations

•Oversee the development of internal SOPs for Field Services and provide support in implementing and enforcing these policies

•Report to the Southeast Operations Manager on a regular basis regarding quality of services provided to our clients and their satisfaction


Experience & Requirements:

•10+ years in a safety management role

•OSHA 500 certification (OSHA 502 – Construction preferred)

•40 Hour HAZWOPER a plus

•Current Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)

•Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification

•Bachelor’s degree preferred

•Proven safety acumen in construction, general industry, and environmental services

•Experience teaching OSHA courses

•Excellent time management skills

•Experienced interviewer with knowledge of Human Resources laws and best practices

•Resides in I-85 Corridor of North Carolina



•This position will be based out of our Charlotte, NC office with a primary focus in the Southeast region (NC, SC, GA, FL, and AL) with some responsibility throughout other operating regions

•Early mornings, nights, and weekends will be required when assignments dictate

•Daily travel necessary with occasional out-of-town overnight trips

•Must be willing to travel up to 50%

•When not on traveling to job sites, office hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
