JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for operation and maintenance of Solvent Distillation Unit. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with all Management System policies and procedures
  • Hourly monitoring of distilled solvents including random sampling for customer approvals
  • Hourly monitoring of recycling equipment including written readings and atmospheric measurements
  • Daily clean up and maintenance of work area including outside/inside of mobile unit, all hoses, tools, electrical controls, and any areas that need restocking.
  • Complete all other assignments made by management  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience with maintenance/electrical or environmental background preferred
     

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES (SKA):

  • Ability to work independently
  • Must possess math, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to identify safety concerns.
  • Must be tolerant of various work environments – temperature extremes, confined space entry.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and be available for “on call” status 24/7
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be knowledgeable and capable of responding to emergency situations
     

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The work is performed in a production plant/customer locations that includes working outside regularly.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Employee must have the ability to climb 50 feet up a ladder.
     

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and harsh outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
