This senior position is responsible for managing environmental programs at one, or typically more, complex facility(s) to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. Additionally, thisposition is responsible for all environmental functions at a complex while simultaneously managing the wastewater treatment facility for the complex.
Environmental duties include dealing with Clean Water Act issues, including NPDES permitted discharges of wastewater and storm water. Other duties include: working on nutrient management plans for company and contract growers; management of spills, non-hazardous and hazardous wastes; implementation of pollution prevention activities; management of all community right-to-know programs including Form R, Tier II, risk management plans and Clean Air Act issues; performing other duties as the need arises. A high level of initiative is expected, along with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with persons at both the facility and corporate level, and the general public.
Bachelor's degree; environmental engineering or sciences preferred.
Experience: 3+ years related experience.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Travel: 12 or more domestic trips per year
