12 months program for university students which are in the last year of the bachelor. The objective of the program is develop students in a determined function in the manufacturing industry through a practical experience, as well as assist in the personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. The assignment will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership and functional competencies.

and would prepare them for a potential opportunity to join the Eaton Leadership Development Programs (ELDP’S) or an open position within one of our Eaton’s Plants or offices upon graduation.

This position supports environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the South Bend, IN manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include supporting EHS activities at the site; performing risk assessments; compliance inspections; design and/or implementation of EHS solutions; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements; closure of MESH and regulatory findings in a timely manner; completion of training for required EHS personnel; and creating a strong zero incident EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Eaton Co-Op Program is for students pursuing a degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences and related fields.
  • Successful candidates must possess outstanding academic credentials, strong analytical skills, have excellent written, oral, communication, and presentation skills, and have demonstrated a strong desire and ambition to be a leader.
  • Must be in the 6th, 7th or 8th. semester of their bachelor
  • Successful candidates must have a combined average of 8.0 or higher.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Part time (5 hours)
