Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Analyst

Overview:
The EHS Analyst will be responsible for the management and oversight of the EHS data management system. Additionally, the EHS Analyst will support the management of key processes, such asthe EHS Annual Operating Plan (AOP), the Management Operating System (MOS), and the Event Tracking System (ETS). The EHS Analyst will be responsible for the collection and analysis of data, the development of statistical trends, and the communication of actions to improve overall EHS performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly metric analysis and performance reporting to Sites, Corporate, and external EHS organizations.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly summaries and highlights as required.
  • Provide data analysis and reports to enable EHS staff in preparing Monthly Operating Reviews and functional presentations.
  • Lead the development and deployment of the EHS Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Manage and implement a Management Operating System (MOS) for EHS that includes tracking of deliverables and management of action item lists.
  • Lead and or assist in Monthly Operating Review (MOR) meetings and various other team meetings as required.
  • Maintain access databases and SharePoint sites to improve EHS data collection, analysis, and dissemination processes.
  • Develop standard work processes and procedures.
  • Execute the EHS information technology strategic plan.
  • Administer activities associated with support of the EHS team.
  • Act as owner for the Event Tracking System (ETS).
  • Lead the EHS Corrective Action Process, including corrective action verifications.
  • Drive reporting and scorecard process updates/maintenance and standardization of metrics across Exide.
  • Develop and implement databases or SharePoint sites, as required, to improve data collection, analysis and dissemination processes and reduce reporting burden on site EHS leaders where possible.
  • Maintain and enhance the mechanisms for site data reporting driving standardization and automation.
  • Develop and execute metric reporting audit process to ensure data integrity across Exide sites.
  • Prepare leadership briefings, reports and presentations as required.
  • Lead EHS Recognition Programs.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of EHS specific events
     

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of business analysis experience or related.
  • 8+ years of experience with MS Office suite with advanced skills in Excel, Access, and SharePoint.
     

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in EHS desired but not required.
  • SharePoint development and workflow experience.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Customer focused and a strategic thinker.
  • Broad knowledge of business systems and functional processes.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with a focus on building relationships and driving improvements.
  • Experience with and knowledge of various data systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt trained/certified.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, written and oral, including use of PowerPoint and Excel.
