EHS Solutions Engineer (Sales)

Our team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Sales Representative.  Please see below for the position’s responsibilities and qualifications.

Position Overview:
The Sales Representative role is an ideal position for a technically oriented EHS professional seeking to transition into a sales function.  The role offers incentive-based compensation based on sales bookings achieved.   Reporting to the president, you will be part of a sales development program  and will leverage your EHS industry experience and refine your solution-selling skills to communicate directly with customer prospects and understand/define their requirements, configure and execute product demonstrations, present the prospect with technical product specs and how our product would benefit their business.   This role requires a high degree of initiative, organization, and self-motivation to represent Perillon in a highly professional and competent manner. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Gather prospects’ EHS requirements through effective verbal and written communications, leveraging technical EHS industry experience to build credibility and trust
  • Conduct sales presentations and take ownership of basic software demonstrations to customers, including preparatory configuration of the sales demo system
  • Present technical data, address objections, and assist to negotiate contractual terms in close collaboration with company management and other key Perillon stakeholders
  • Maintain all account related activities in the company’s CRM system (Salesforce.com)
  • Review and complete Request for Proposals (RFPs) in coordination with Perillon stakeholders
     

Qualifications: 

  • 3 years EHS industry experience, preferably with an environmental consulting firm serving industrial companies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical and hands-on software skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • Sales experience preferred, but not required
  • US citizen or permanent resident alien status
  • Proven and quantifiable track record of over-achievement
  • 25% travel
