EHS Manager

As our EHS Manager your focus will be to engage commitment from employees and management, through continual improvement and education, to sustain a positive safety culture.  You will serve as the safety resource coach for the organization for all hazard identification, prevention and control. 

Specific Responsibilities include: 

  • Conduct Industrial Hygiene Surveys, Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment and Analysis, and PPE assessments for industry specific operations and new processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis and investigation
  • Maintain/enhance programs and conduct training per OSHA required regulations such as: Fall Protection, Fit testing, etc.
  • Act as representative for communications with outside agencies, auditors, inspectors, and customers.
  • Implement and maintain EHS and quality management systems conforming to ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and R2 standards
  • Maintain safety committee with dedication to ensuring implementation of action items
  • Track and coordinate biological monitoring, i.e., respirator, lead levels, etc.
  • Inspect and maintain inventory for PPE, AED, first aid and other safety items

Education and Experience: 

  • BS degree in Occupational Safety preferred
  • 5 years of industrial safety experience is required
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations and the ability to work with these regulatory agencies
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with outstanding leadership aptitude
