Business Development Representative (EHS)

Our team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Business Development Representative.  Please see below for the position’s responsibilities and qualifications.

Position Overview
The Business Development Representative position offers an excellent career advancement opportunity into marketing or outside sales account management, with increasing incentive-based compensation based on reaching progressive levels of achievement.  This is an ideal position for an upcoming college graduate, as progression to permanent full time opportunities are available. This could also be a great second income source for the currently employed professional. 

In this role you will be part of a sales development program, working to build a sales pipeline by targeting and prospecting new accounts and contracts, and assisted by the company’s lead generation program and various sales enablement tools in place. You will refine your solution-selling skills as you progress over time and take on more responsibility during a new account sales cycle, including discovery calls, pricing discussions, basic software demonstrations, relationship-building, and closing.  This role requires a high degree of initiative, organization, and self-motivation to represent Perillon in a highly professional and competent manner. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Execute prospecting programs to build pipeline, focused on small- to mid-sized deals
  • Initiate communication dialog with prospects and educate them on the benefits and advantages of the Perillon system, and build relationships with key decision-makers at new prospects
  • Schedule demo meetings for Outside Sales Account Managers and transition knowledge
  • Become knowledgeable of the market and Perillon’s solutions, as well as competitor offerings to professionally discuss the pros and cons with prospects.
  • Complete documentation and weekly reporting in a timely manner
     

Required Qualifications: 

  • sales or customer service related experience
  • 4-year degree preferred (can be currently enrolled in a 4 year program)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • EHS experience and/or knowledge of industrial markets a plus
