Environmental Health Program

Our Environmental Health program is one of only 24 nationally accredited programs*. Some agencies such as the U.S. Public Health Service will hire only graduates of accredited schools for positions in environmental health.

The coursework required for the Environmental Health degree provides marketable skills and knowledge. Specialized courses such as environmental protection, epidemiology, toxicology, environmental regulations, food & community sanitation, soil morphology & sewage systems, and occupational health & safety provide specific information and training for a career as an environmental health practitioner. Students will understand the effect of hazards on the human body, the effect of pollutants on ecosystems and the role of humans as an integral part of the biosphere.
